Just some thoughts..

Lot of old skin nowadays in TV ads. Sure, most of the companies are using the current trend. But god, its refreshing..In one moisturizer ad, there are pot bellied women in bikini’s..mm, lets see how long this trend is going to stay..

There are lot of things we don’t have the rich and famous women have..But boy, sometimes when I sunk my teeth into a juicy burger, I thank god that I don’t have to be skinny for my profession. Sure, its kind of the “sour grapes” category. But celebrities talking about “oh, I sure eat carbs now and then..i am not the one who starves”, I was like “Carbs, now and then! Sure, that’s a happy life”..

Well, that’s all I have to say about that topic.

Latest news, Anjappar is going to open in New jersey..Yay.. for people who don’t know about Anjappar, it’s a famous Non-veg restaurant in Chennai.. Its one of my favourites..

Even thought its crowded all the time and not exactly cleaner, the food tastes real good.. Oh, the meal, the biriyani, the chicken lollipop, chilly chicken, fish fry, chicken fried rice my my..I am salivating thinking about it.. Guess, there is going to be a lot of trips to New jersey in the future.. Hope, they can bring the same taste here and bit more cleaner area..

Man, Chennai is the place to eat.. Last time when I went to India, I stayed in Chennai for couple of days for the Visa etc..Everyone was so busy going to office and stuff..I dint have any company to go to Anjappar.. In US, I eat out alone all the time..In Chennai, fast food places, people eat alone a lot, lunching and stuff.. But Anjappar? I thought about it for a while, but the temptation was too much for me to think about eating alone and all..So, as usual I chose a good novel and went alone.. I guess it was unusual for a woman to sit alone and eat in Anjappar and everybody was staring at me, or I thought they stared..Anyways, I started enjoying my food and novel, I forgot about the people around me.. The waiters are always friendly in that place..after the food, I had a beeda (pan) and tipped the doorman a nice tip ( don’t know why, he has to wear that dress, poor guy) and left. Mmm, Heaven!

Seems like the Immigration laws are turning bad for people like us who are in the verge of completing the 6 years and filed for GC only recently..Might have to go back to India..

Well, I am still in the “yeah, We will go back to India after few years! mmm, we think!” category.. So, we will see how that goes.. Here most of the time, I eat out and out and the money I spend on eating out every month, I don’t want to disclose because I am ashamed that, in India one family can manage for a month decently with that amount.

I thought, I should be more responsible and save more money. All this money I am wasting here might come in handy when I move back to India. So I thought, from Tomorrow I am gonna cook and bring lunch to office. Well, you know how that goes..I went home and I thought, well “after all I might have to go back soon..so, as long as I am here, I’ll enjoy the food here”..there is the excuse..So, I am spending money like usual..lazy bones..

Now after going back to India, we will miss the food here.. eventhough we get Pizzas and burgers back in India, its not gonna be the same as here..the ones we get in India are indianized versions.. For people like us, there is no going back now..We will miss some Country through out our life I guess.. If we go back to India, we are gonna miss the pizzas and juicy burgers, clean environment, uncomplicated life styles etc..If we stay here, we all know what we are missing..I don’t want to go into this further, since this topic is discussed over and over like a trillion times..so, lets leave it..

Ok, just started writing something and hey, I filled a page..now, I can post a blog, so here it is…
